{"id":2033,"date":"2008-09-26T12:50:35","date_gmt":"2008-09-26T16:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/?p=2033"},"modified":"2014-04-14T12:51:00","modified_gmt":"2014-04-14T16:51:00","slug":"paris-september-26-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/?p=2033","title":{"rendered":"Paris, September 26, 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We landed to overcast skies on\u00c2\u00a0<em><strong>26 September<\/strong><\/em>\u00c2\u00a0and gathered our luggage, wishing we had enough points\/miles to travel in this fashion every time.<\/p>\n<p>We left the terminal and headed for the RER station to take the train into Paris and connect to the Metro to get to Gare de Lyon, where we had tickets for the TGV to Dijon at 11:28 AM. We arrived in Dijon at 1:10 PM and headed up Avenue Foch to our Hotel, the Kyriad Hotel.\u00c2\u00a0 Our room was not ready, but we dropped our bags and wandered to check out the area.\u00c2\u00a0 We found a little brasserie, La Concorde, and ate omelets with red wine for lunch.\u00c2\u00a0 We wandered through the historic area, discovered half-timbered houses, a huge market place Les Halles, parks, and museums \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that we saved for another day when we would be a little more alert.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"France RER Ticket\" src=\"http:\/\/sydneyventuresllc.com\/vac\/france2008\/Images\/RER_ticket.gif\" width=\"125\" height=\"57\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We found our way back to the hotel, watched the news on BBC, checked the weather for our stay (a little colder than we would like), showered to get refreshed and went out for a early light bite before crashing at the hotel.\u00c2\u00a0 A very long day\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We landed to overcast skies on\u00c2\u00a026 September\u00c2\u00a0and gathered our luggage, wishing we had enough points\/miles to travel in this fashion every time.
