{"id":4685,"date":"2020-03-02T17:46:36","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T22:46:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/?p=4685"},"modified":"2022-12-05T14:41:26","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T19:41:26","slug":"paris-day2-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/?p=4685","title":{"rendered":"Paris Day2 (2020)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4598-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4688\" src=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4598-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Headed out about 10:00 for the Marias with Stacy and Shelly. \u00a0We stopped by Notre Dame to check on the progress and observe the fire damage. \u00a0Then on to Sainte Chapelle for a visit we missed it last year due to Shelley knees.<a href=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4150-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-4687\" src=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4150-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Afterward we headed to the Marias for lunch of Falafel at L&#8217;As du Fallafel, we arrived at 12:30 and for the first time ever we entered without have to stand in line. \u00a0They have expanded their menu and have even add wine and beer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4602-scaled.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4686\" src=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4602-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Stacy and Shelley when shopping and Pat and I went off to locate the<a href=\"http:\/\/mobile.free.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> FreeMobile<\/a> store to get French SIM cards.<div class=\"wonderplugin-video\" style=\"width:600px;height:400px;position:relative;display:block;background-color:#000;overflow:hidden;max-width:100%;margin:0 auto\" data-aspectratio=\"1.5\"><div class=\"wpve-videoplayer\" style=\"display:block;position:relative;width:100%;height:100%\" data-mp4=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4601.mov\" data-skinfolder=\"https:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wonderplugin-video-embed\/engine\/\" data-playbutton=\"http:\/\/frenchbychoice.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wonderplugin-video-embed\/engine\/playvideo-64-64-0.png\"><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p>SIM cards complete we headed back to the apartment. \u00a0We were trying to decide if we could fix dinner, but almost everything is closed on Monday after working on the weekend so we checked out a Bistro we were planning to have dinner. \u00a0We dis some shopping for fruit for breakfast, Wine for this evening, and a baguette to have with the cheese.<\/p>\n<p>About 8:00 we headed out for dinner but the bistro was closed, odd, so we figured we would try the newly renovated Le Chalet, which open the week after we left Paris last year in 2019. \u00a0The new interior was beautiful and the menu was very good. \u00a0Pat opted for Sole Meuniere<em> (meuniere refers to the technique of cooking ingredients in brown butter and lemon juice or lightly coating the ingredients in flour before frying)<\/em> which was a special, Stacy had the Fish and Chips, Shelley the Entrocote and I chose the Duck Confit. \u00a0We added wine and 3 desserts, Profiteroles, Moelleux with chestnuts and an Tart Tartin.<\/p>\n<p>We opted to walk back the 2 bus stop because the bus was 9 minutes out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Headed out about 10:00 for the Marias with Stacy and Shelly. \u00a0We stopped by Notre Dame to check on the progress and observe the fire damage. \u00a0Then on to Sainte Chapelle for a visit we missed it last year due &hellip;
