We slept in a little late – Paula and Martin attended Mass at Notre Dame and we agreed to meet them outside Notre Dame at 11:00 AM.

The beautiful facade of Notre Dame
We stood on the wall surrounding the gardens so they could easily locate us in the throng. Blue skies and warmer weather were a welcome addition to tourist activities planned for the day. We headed over to Ile-St-Louis, across the Seine, and northward to the Marais. First stop was falafels before the crowds descended …..
We window-shopped and shopped a vintage clothing store in the Marais…..

After our shopping spree in the Marais, we headed for Trocadero to get a great view of the Eiffel Tower on a bright day….
On our walk from Trocadero to the Champs Elysees, we found this fabulous window/door configuration
Along the Champs Elysees we stopped in a few shops and boutiques, including a Porsche showroom and a Mercedes showroom. Â Beautiful cars! Â Back in the less expensive part of Paris, closer to our apartment, we settled on dinner at a local restaurant and enjoyed a quiet evening watching Martin and Paula pack…..after a 6 mile day on the tourist trail….
