Paris’ Wonderful Passages

Today’s walking tour covered the Passages of Paris, those arcades or covered shopping ways made from alleyways in the 1800’s – some of which are renovated and lively, others pretty much left alone. Along these passages you can find boutique shops, toy stores, brocante and antique shops, restaurants and tea rooms.

On the way to our first passage, we topped in at E. Dehilleran and checked out all the cooking utensils from “William Sonoma East.”

At the entrance to the first passage, we found a series of designer boutiques including the famous shoe designer Louboutin! We were able to see the spring collection of his fabulous shoes with the very noticeable red soles. We found vintage dresses, Marc Jacobs, and a slew of high end costume jewelry.

Red sole shoes anyone?

We popped out of one of the passages and decided to lunch at one of our Paris favorites: Victoria Station with their wood-fired pizza! Here’s a sampling of their offerings….

We continued on our passages journey and also shopped a bit. Then in the raindrops back to the apartment to plan and shop for dinner….
